PNG compression

PNG files,
trimmed down

Usually 60-80% lighter through lossy quantization + lossless optimization. Same extension, same dimensions, nothing renamed.

What happens to a PNG

Reach for PNG when an image needs hard edges or a see-through background: screenshots, logos, interface exports, line art. The cost is weight, because PNG records every pixel exactly as drawn. Mapping the artwork onto a 256-color palette with dithering, then re-packing the result losslessly, usually takes 60-80% off the file, and on screen you still see the image you uploaded.

Three steps

01

Add the PNG files

Drag them into the panel above or browse for them. Up to 20 at a time, 5 MB each.

02

The route runs itself

Lossy quantization + lossless optimization is applied to every file, tuned so the result holds up next to the original on screen.

03

Take the lighter copy

Compare the two sizes, read the saving, and download the PNG file on its own or with the rest of the batch.
