Where metric and imperial specifications collide
Force, torque and pressure are the quantities most often quoted in two systems at once — a bolt torqued in newton-metres on one page and pound-feet on the next, a load given in kilograms-force, a gauge printed only in psi.
Pressure here spans the everyday and the technical in the same list: bar and atmospheres for tyres and weather, pascal and megapascal for materials, millimetres of mercury for instruments. Put them on one scale and a datasheet becomes comparable with a dial.
