Both formats, briefly

OGG

OGGIN

Ogg Vorbis is an open, patent-unencumbered lossy format that holds together well at middling bitrates, which is why game engines, Linux software and open source projects ship sound in it. Browsers and desktop players read it, though car head units and older hardware frequently do not. Use OGG when licensing matters to your project and MP3 when the listener's device is a guess.

AAC

AACOUT

AAC was designed to succeed MP3 and generally sounds cleaner at the same bitrate, especially at lower settings. It is the audio riding inside most MP4 video, the default in Apple's music apps, and standard in digital radio and television. Choose AAC when you want a smaller file than MP3 without hearing the difference.
